ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Prepares the dinner meal, both general and therapeutic diets as stated on the menus and spreadsheets.

 

Cleans and washes equipment used in meal preparation and cooking.

 

Keeps own work area clean and sanitary after each meal preparation.

 

Serves as lead worker and a resource for the PM dietary aides.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
